ABOUT US

A story of mobility innovation

Universal Transmissions was founded in 2006 by Karlheinz Nicolai with the goal of making advanced drivetrain expertise available beyond a single bicycle brand. What began as a specialist in integrated gearbox and drivetrain concepts has evolved into a company that connects leading drive technologies with manufacturers across the bicycle and mobility industry.

Today, UT works as an OE partner that combines technology distribution with engineering services and technical support. By linking portfolio access with practical development knowledge, UT helps manufacturers move from component selection to reliable product integration and successful market introduction.
